Jafia kylän historiallinen merkitys  Pyhiinvaeltajille.

Yafia in Greater Nazareth
The modern Arab village of Yafia (alternately referred to as Jafia, Japha, Yafi or Joffa of the Galilee) is today considered to be part of greater Nazareth. Christian tours to the Holy Land commonly stop in Yafia to visit the four landmark churches that are situated in the village's Old City.
Yafia's churches mark the birthplace of Saint James, son of Zebedee. James, along with his brother John, was a fisherman and one of the disciples of Jesus. As described in the Book of Acts, James was eventually murdered by Herod.
As a visitor arriving at Yafia, you’ll see that all the churches were built extremely close together. About 100 yards above the main road that leads from here to the center of Nazareth, you’ll find a Catholic church and school. The Greek Orthodox church is located around the corner, but it can be hard to spot in the densely-populated village.
Above the Greek Orthodox church, look for the yard that stands in front of what was once a synagogue, with its entrance facing towards Jerusalem. This ancient synagogue dates from the 3rd century, during the Byzantine period (if your travel takes you to the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, you can see the fragments of the mosaic floor that originally included 12 circles surrounding symbols of the 12 tribes, two of which having been found intact at this location in Yafia and put on display at the Israel Museum).
While visiting Yafia, you’ll learn that, in the early Roman period, it was once one of the largest and most important villages on the road to Nazareth and also to Sepphoris, which was the regional capital in the Galilee. It is believed that Jesus traveled on this road many times.

Jafian kohdan tunnsitaa tuosta sinikupolisesta moskeijaista.
Nasaret- Haifa- tien  varrelta:

Marokon juutalaisten tilanne   1940-1945 aikaan

Fast forward to the outbreak of World War II in 1939, the German occupation of France in 1940, and the establishment of the Vichy government rendered the Jews of Morocco (Morocco at the time was under France’s rule) powerless. In 1940, Nazi-controlled Vichy government issued decrees excluding Jews from public functions. Morocco was forced to issue these laws under France’s control and the Jews who sought sanctuary in Morocco were forced into labor camps. Morocco was not able to defy these laws until the fall of Vichy France with the help of Charles de Gaulle. After the establishment of Israel, the majority of Moroccan Jews moved there. Nowadays, the Jewish community still has an impact on our modern history as the adviser of our current king, Mohammed VI, is Andre Azoulay.

  • Natsit alkoivat työleiriohjelmansa myös Afrikassa:

The Nazis established seventeen (17) slave labor camps were located in North Africa: three in Morocco, three in Algeria, seven in Tunisia and four in Libya.
Jews were interned in the slave labor camp at Hadjerat-M'Guil, in North Africa. Some of the 170 prisoners were tortured and murdered. Other internees worked on the Trans-Sahara railway.

Maailmassa vietetään Lehtimajanjuhlaa Mooseksen uskoisissa seurakunnissa.

Kuten Sakarjan kirja ennustaa, tulee aika jolloin muutkin kansat nousevat Jerusalemiin viettämään Sukkot- lehtimajanjuhlaa.

https://www.islamicity.org/7914/fasting-the-day-of-ashura/

'Ashura' commemorates the day that Allah saved the Children of Israel from Pharaoh.
Fasting on Muharram 10, known as the Day of 'Ashura', expiates for the sins of the past year. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah in 622 CE, he found that the Jews there fasted on Muharram 10 and asked them the reason for their fasting on this day. They said," This is a blessed day. On this day Allah saved the Children of Israel from their enemy (in Egypt) and so Prophet Musa [Moses] fasted on this day giving thanks to Allah."
